"Jascha Nemtsov presents himself as a worthy descendant of Liszt and his pupils",
so the German magazine "Fono Forum" in November of 2008 on the occasion of Nemtsov's new
released CD with works by Franz Liszt and his "grand-student" Juliusz Wolfsohn.
Born in Russia, Nemtsov started with his international career after moving to Germany in 1992.
He gives concerts throughout the world and is particularly interested in enrichment of the concert
repertoire through music of unjustly forgotten composers. One of his most important discoveries is the work of the Russian composer
Vsevolod Zaderatsky who was persecuted during the Stalin era. Jascha Nemtsov is
currently producing a CD anthology with Zaderatsky's piano works including his phenomenal cycle 24 Preludes & Fugues that was composed in the Gulag in 1937/1939:
By now Jascha Nemtsov recorded more than 30 highly
esteemated CDs with numerous world premieres. For contact please send an e-mail.
